General Knowledge of the World

Being I know very little about the world of ancient Egypt... I have inquiries. I'm sure this will aid others as well.

Q: What is the currency of the land?

Q: What is the general value of said currency (i.e. comparasion to a dollar)

Q: The value of simple items. Such as food, water, arrows, over-night stay at an inn, etc (generic things)

Q: What is considered "casual attire", or "common appearance"?

This is all I can think of for now.

A: deben
One deben is also equal to ten kit

Q: What is the general value of said currency (i.e. comparasion to a dollar)
A: I'm having trouble finding a source that shows how deben(or debens?) compare to the U.S. dollar, so for now I guess you can say they used weight as value. I'll keep looking though

Q: The value of simple items. Such as food, water, arrows, over-night stay at an inn, etc (generic things)
A: Around .01 to 10 deben.

Q: What is considered "casual attire", or "common appearance"?
A: Usually people wore white linen garments. Women: robes or tight dresses with shoulder straps; Men: skirts or robes
